Dialysis Introduction
Dialysis can be divided into hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Essentially, it can exclude harmful substances in the body through the semipermeable membrane, which is the most effective way to treat renal failure at present. Hemodialysis brings the patient's blood into a dialyzer through a disposable tube and after the dialysis is completed, the blood will be re-injected into the patient.
XY-TEK CG series ultrasonic flow sensor can monitor the blood pump of the dialysis machine in real time. The warning will be shown once the disposable tube gets blocked. Similarly, when the automatic peritoneal dialysis machine uses the peristaltic pump to control the flow rate and flow volume of the dialysate, the XY-TEK flow sensor will test the peristaltic pump to secure its normal operation.

Client Requirements
1. Dialysis treatment requires high cleanliness and sterility so sensors can not contaminate blood during measurement.
2. Blood pumps for hemodialysis require high reliability and safety to ensure normal function throughout the whole process.
3. Pipeline obstruction has to be avoided during dialysis treatment since it could result in excessive pressure and harm to patients.
Clamp on Ultrasonic Flow Sensor / Flow Meter
1. CG series clamp-on flow sensor/ flow meters can be directly clamped on the surface of the flexible plastic tubing to accurately measure the liquid in the tubing without directly contacting the liquid. The measurement will not cause pollution to the dialysis liquid, especially suitable for high sanitary cleanliness occasions.
2. The clamp on ultrasonic flow sensor/ flow meters detects the flow rate and the direction of blood or dialysis liquid controlled by the peristaltic pump with high accuracy. Once the peristaltic pump fails, it will be warned in time.
3. CG series clamp-on flow sensor/ flow meters has internal integration, and no external calculation or processing system. Small size, compact structure, and convenient installation.
Customer Value
1. Meet the hygienic requirements of dialysis to prevent blood contamination during the transmission process.
CG series clamp-on flow sensor/ flow meters is clamped outside the plastic tubing, and the ultrasound signal penetrates the pipe wall and liquid. The sensor itself does not have direct contact with the liquid in the tube.
2. Real-time and accurate monitoring of the blood and dialysate flow rate and flow direction.
CG series clamp-on flow sensor/ flow meters can monitor the difference between the blood pump setting and the actual blood flow rate. Negative pressure may affect the function of the pump, and the size, position, and material of the tube may affect the flow rate. These anomalies can all be detected by XY-TEK high-accuracy flow sensors/flow meters.
3. Ensure the safety of dialysis equipment operation
CG series ultrasonic flow sensor / flow meters can effectively monitor the dialysis tubing blockage, air bubble, and other abnormal flow issues.
